with your words.

A reading index to the data, choices and limits of Plainframe.

Effective September 7, 2026 · Android 1.0.0

01

Scope

This policy describes Plainframe version 1.0.0 for Android and the accompanying informational website. Plainframe provides general reading and expression practice. The website and the Android app are separate surfaces.

Policy index ↑
02

Your writing

Revision drafts and follow-up questions are text you choose to enter. Keep other people’s sensitive information out of your practice writing. The app does not evaluate your writing through a remote service.

Policy index ↑
03

Reading state

Plainframe remembers chosen source labels, the current dossier and folio, and whether you have checked the source links. This supports returning to a reading session.

Policy index ↑
04

Filed slips

A filed proof slip consists of its dossier reference, your revision, your question and a local filing time. Reopening a slip returns to its dossier. Unfile removes the listing while retaining the working draft.

Policy index ↑
05

Local storage

Drafts, slips, choices and preferences are stored in Android SharedPreferences within the app’s private device storage. The app does not provide export, synchronization or a shared workspace.

Policy index ↑
06

Network behavior

The Android manifest requests no Internet permission. App content and illustrations are bundled with the installed app. Plainframe does not send drafts, questions or reading state to an app server.

Policy index ↑
07

Accounts

Plainframe does not create user accounts or request a name, email address or password. There is no sign-in flow.

Policy index ↑
08

Permissions

The app requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, media-library or notification permission. Text is entered through your selected Android keyboard.

Policy index ↑
09

Analytics and advertising

The application includes no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK. It does not send usage events or advertising identifiers to a publisher-operated service.

Policy index ↑
10

Device services

Android, emulator software, keyboards and device-management services operate under their own settings and policies. For example, a keyboard may process entered text according to its configuration; Plainframe does not control that software.

Policy index ↑
11

Retention

Working drafts and filed slips remain until you reset the app’s reading data, clear app storage through Android, or uninstall the app. Unfiling a slip alone does not erase its draft.

Policy index ↑
12

Delete your work

Reading settings contains Reset reading data. Confirming that action removes drafts, questions, choices, filed slips and reading preferences from this app. The operation cannot be undone through Plainframe.

Policy index ↑
13

Backups

Android application backup is disabled in the manifest. Plainframe offers no in-app backup or restore service. Device-level transfers or administrative systems are governed by their own capabilities.

Policy index ↑
14

Children and content

The reading activities concern everyday objects and low-stakes situations. The app does not knowingly solicit children’s personal information. A parent or guardian can remove locally entered information through Reset reading data or Android app storage settings.

15

Website requests

This static website does not include forms, analytics scripts or browser-storage features. If hosted, its hosting provider may process request metadata such as IP addresses and server logs under the host’s policies. No public hosting provider has been selected in this private package.

16

Security and limits

Android app-private storage limits access by ordinary other apps. Device compromise, shared-device access, screenshots and platform services can affect confidentiality. No software can guarantee absolute security.

17

Policy changes

This policy is dated September 7, 2026 and reflects the packaged implementation. A future release that changes storage, permissions or network behavior requires a corresponding policy update.

18

Publisher contact

A verified publisher support and privacy contact has not been supplied for this private package. The publisher must insert a working contact and confirm this policy before making the app or website publicly available. No organization contact is inferred from the intake address.
